440C Stainless Steel Plate Description

The high carbon content of 440C stainless steel makes it have good cutting and wear resistance. It also has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of a variety of chemical corrosive media. 440C has excellent hardness due to its high carbon content. Through heat treatment and quenching, hardness of HRC 58-60 can be achieved, giving it excellent cutting ability and wear resistance. In addition, 440C has a high chromium content and excellent corrosion resistance in most acidic and alkaline environments. So 440C stainless steel material is especially suitable for high-end manufacturing fields such as aerospace, mechanical manufacturing, electronic equipment and medical devices.
